iQuitClutter (“our Company”) provides hands-on home and office organizing and decluttering services, workshops, and presentations. We also offer virtual organizing services, ‘consultation only’ support, and (online) courses for those who are able and willing to do the hands-on work themselves.
For our hands-on Services and in-person Workshops we primarily service clients within 60 minutes travel from our Tokyo based office. This includes but is not limited to certain areas in Kawasaki and Yokohama. We can also recommend Professional Organizers in your area.
Our (online) Courses can be taken from anywhere in the world.
There is a 3-hour minimum per appointment in case of hands-on organizing services or off-site work on behalf of a Client. In our experience, organizing sessions of shorter duration too often do not produce optimal results.
For ‘consultation only’ services and workshops there is 1-hour minimum per appointment.
In case of virtual services, the minimum hours depend on the level of assistance but will be no less than 30 minutes.
A booking confirmation summarizing the appointments made will be sent to the Client prior to the start of any organizing project. In some circumstances, we may request a deposit or retainer before confirming appointments or providing services.
Clients acknowledge control of the job site(s) and agree to provide us access to job site(s) for the term of the work.
We require 48 hours notice should you need to cancel. This allows us the opportunity to fill the appointment. Cancellations of less than 48 hours will be billed as a full session.
Clients are required to be present during organizing sessions and to assist with the projects, unless otherwise agreed. Clients are expected to obtain permission from other householders.
Schedules are set by mutual agreement. Missed/cancelled appointments may increase the length of the project. Completing any “homework” the Client might be asked to do between organizing sessions will save the Client money.
We will not throw anything out without the Client’s permission. We help the Client make decisions, but the final decision is always the Client’s. The Client agrees to make final decisions about disposition of items and the Client is responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the discarding or destroying of any records or personal effects.
We agree to commit to finishing the project and implement the proposed solutions within a reasonable period of time, as discussed with the Client, and for the price agreed upon. Please note that we are not a cleaning service and are not responsible for that parallel part of the work.
We offer a 100% Client satisfaction guarantee. We analyze the Client’s situation, teach the Client appropriate new skills and help the Client make the changes they want. If we fail to meet any realistic expectations (which will be discussed at the start of each session), we will schedule a complimentary session to make any necessary adjustments.
If the Client is not satisfied with the work, a claim must be submitted by writing within seven business days of completion of the project. Letters describing in detail what work or parts of the project were not satisfactorily executed should be emailed to [email protected].
Our rates are posted on our website. Please call us at +81 70 4178 8777 if your required personalized services/workshops or need further information. Services are charged based on the applicable hourly rate, invoiced in ¼-hour increments.
Billable services will include, but not be limited to, meetings at a Client’s home or office or place of business, phone consultations with a Client, electronic communication in case of virtual or ‘consultation only’ services, and off-site work on a Client’s behalf.
Payment in full is due 30 days after receipt of the invoice that will be sent by the Company after each organizing session. We accept payments made by cash, cheque, credit card or direct bank deposit.
If due to unforeseen circumstances payment cannot be made within the 30-day term, any outstanding amount must be paid in full prior to the scheduling of any further appointments.
The first 60 minutes of travel time is free. After that, travel time is billed at our standard, hourly rate. Travel time between work sites is billable at our standard, hourly rate. Travel fees may be waived at our sole discretion.
As part of our service the Organizer will either make suggestions about what supplies should be purchased and the Client will do the shopping OR the Client will assist us in shopping for supplies OR we will shop and purchase supplies without the Client being present and make arrangements to have those supplies delivered to Client’s location. Clients are responsible for paying for all agreed-upon supplies (i.e. bags, moving boxes, tape, large bins, file folders, labels, labelling tape, storage containers, shelving, etc.) necessary for the completion of the project.
Our standard, hourly rate will apply for shopping and returns. Receipts for funds spent on Client’s behalf will be presented at the time payment for services is due.
Direct expenses of service, including, but not limited to, copying/messenger services/shipping fees/delivery charges, parking, tolls and other transportation charges, overnight charges, are the Client’s responsibility. They will be billed to Clients at the time of service, if not provided directly by Clients.
The Client refund will be strictly limited to the amount of the most recent session. Failure to make a claim within seven business days after the last session implies that the Client fully accepts the completed work.
Given the sensitive nature of the work we do and the high level of trust it requires our Clients to place in us, Clients can be assured of absolute privacy when working with us. As a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, we adhere strictly to its Code of Ethics which emphasizes confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
All client information will be kept strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.
You agree at all times to indemnify and hold harmless our Company, as well as any of our affiliates, contractors, directors, employees, as applicable from and against any and all claims, causes of action, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including legal fees and expenses, arising out of or related to our Services, Workshops, and (online) Courses.
iQuitClutter and its affiliates, directors, partners and employees shall not be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use of date or other tangible losses, resulting from or incurred in connection with your use of our Services, Workshops and (online) Courses. We do not assume liability for any third party conduct, accidents, delays, harm or other detrimental or negative outcomes as a result of your use of our Services and Workshops, and access of our (online) Courses and related material(s).
You agree to notify the Company of any concerns or issues regarding the Services, Workshops and (online) Courses, to give the Company the opportunity to resolve those concerns of issues. If you and our Company cannot find a resolution to a dispute or potential claim by means of good-faith negotiation, then you explicitly agree to make a reasonable attempt to resolve any such dispute through Alternative Dispute Resolution or Mediation before filing a civil cause of action. If a civil cause of action is filed by or against the Company related to the Services, Workshops, (online) Course(s), the laws of The Netherlands shall apply.
If you are found to be slandering, libeling or otherwise disparaging our Company, Services, Workshops or (online) Course(s) or related materials, the services will be immediately cancelled, and/or you will be immediately removed from the (online) course(s) and any related communications. We reserve the right to file a civil claim or action against you for any such damaging actions you take that materially harm our Company.
All rights not expressed granted in these Terms and Conditions of Use or express written hare are reserved by the Company.
